THINGS TO DOOn
a local basis, here are some of the activities available in and around
Criccieth:- walking, rambling, horse riding and pony trekking, fresh water and
sea fishing, antique fairs, Lloyd George Museum, boating and
sailing or take your car onto Black Rock sands. Further afield there is an excellent new leisure centre in Porthmadog (5 miles) which incorporates a large indoor swimming pool, squash courts, fitness centre and tennis courts. Porthmadog
is also home to the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways and the Maritime
Museum. The famous Italianate village of Portmeirion is only seven miles
distant, Snowdon and the 840 square miles of the Snowdonia National Park are waiting to
be explored. The famous Llechwedd Slate caverns at Blaenau Ffestiniog, historic
castles at Harlech,Caernarfon , Beaumaris and Conway, the world famous garden at
Bodnant are a few more of the many attractions in the area. GOLF
Your host is a member of Royal St David’s Golf Club. There are six quality courses within 25 minutes of Glan Y Mor including Nefyn, Abersoch and Pwllheli. We would be pleased to book green fees on your behalf although some courses may require a handicap certificate. For those guests looking for something less challenging, there is a miniature golf course overlooking the sea close to Glan Y Mor. |
